Short-horned hoppers are common around high country lakes and riverbeds in summer,
providing good dry fly fishing opportunities on Tussock lined waterways. They are commonly 2cm long and pale grey underneath.
The Hot Foam Hopper floats well, is easy to see and is very durable. Like a drowning natural it lands with a splat, sitting in the surface film with clean lines and legs that twitch and wriggle.
