Fat Green Jelly Caddis

The Fat Green Jelly Caddis is designed to imitate small to medium free living and net-spinning caddis larvae. Although this pattern lacks the detail of the Antron Net-spinner and the Spanflex Crimp Caddis, it shares one very important feature with smaller caddis larvae: translucency.  Translucency is sometimes a key trigger for fussy fish. The squirrel collar imitates legs and provides some movement, while the tungsten bead head ensures that it sinks well.
  

Fishing Tip:  Use this pattern wherever net-spinning caddis larvae are abundant.  Fish it on the dropper in riffles or the tails of pools or fish it on the point with a heavier fly on the dropper where the water is deeper.
