The Wine Wire Crimp Nymph is designed to imitate the small dark Deleatium mayfly nymphs abundant on many rivers and streams in summer.
These little
nymphs are seldom completely black and both rainbow and brown trout appear to be partial to wine wire
abdomens. Like the Brown Wire Crimp Nymph this
pattern is very durable and sinks well for its size.
Fishing
Tip: Fish this Nymph dead-drift, either as a single nymph in shallow/slower water,
or in tandem with a heavier pattern to attain greater depth.
